Air Noland is taking his next air show attempt to Memphis in 2026.

According to a report by CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer on Tuesday afternoon, the former 2024 top recruit out of the state of Georgia has signed with Memphis after spending just one season at South Carolina. Noland played at Ohio State the season before that, so Memphis would already be Noland’s 3rd collegiate program in a career that, at least so far, hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations that were expected.

The timing wasn’t right for Noland in Columbia during the 2025 season, with the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder stuck behind starting QB LaNorris Sellers. Noland only attempted 3 passes this past fall, completing 2 of them, for 13 yards passing. Noland hopes all of the watching goes away this fall in the American Conference at Memphis.

Before Noland failed to pan out at South Carolina in 2025, he originally signed with Ohio State coming out of Fairburn, Ga. But the same issue that plagued Noland in Columbia was also the problem in Columbus, where a crowded list of quarterbacks in 2024 swallowed up Noland and eventually led to his transfer to South Carolina.

The Buckeyes ended up winning the national title that season, but Noland never saw the field while at Ohio State.

Now, Noland is hoping the 3rd place will be the charm, at Memphis in 2026, as he tries to fulfill the promise of a stellar prep career in Georgia.
