Arch Manning is rounding into that 5-star quarterback form that many expected from him as he progressed through high school, as he looks to commit one day to a major Power 5 school.

Ahead of his junior season, the No. 1 QB in the Class of 2023 is ready for a big campaign, his high school coach told 247Sports. Manning has already visited Clemson, SMU, Texas, LSU, Alabama and Georgia in June and Ole Miss in July.

โ€œHeโ€™s ready to go,โ€ Isidore Newman head coach Nelson Stewart said. โ€œHeโ€™s really excited. I told him the other day walking off the field heโ€™s as big as I was when I played defensive line my junior year. Heโ€™s got so big in a good way. Heโ€™s 6-4, 210.โ€

While Manning is most known for being Peyton and Eli’s nephew, his workout numbers are turning heads.

โ€œHand-clocked recently 4.65 in the 40, he benches 240 and cleans 250,โ€ Stewart said. โ€œHeโ€™s taken a liking to those cleans. For us we document quarterback lifting records and those are already records.โ€

Manning so far in his high school career has passed for 4,081 yards and 53 touchdowns with just 13 interceptions. He’s completed nearly 68 percent of his passes.

โ€œHe just likes the weight room and the ball is really coming off, his deep ball has gotten a lot better and heโ€™s killed it as a captain,โ€ Stewart said. โ€œHe loves meeting with all of them and going over practice plans and all our call charts. Heโ€™s had a great summer and been able to see some great schools and it hasnโ€™t disrupted what weโ€™ve done.โ€
