The Arkansas Razorbacks are officially in the Ryan Silverfield era, and the new head man for the Hogs has been hard at work over the past several weeks putting together his new staff and filling out his new roster in Fayetteville.
Given the large amount of roster turnover Arkansas endured following the firing of former head coach Sam Pittman, Silverfield has been hitting the portal heavily this January and bringing in impact players on both sides of the ball.
He may have found another huge piece in former Ohio offensive lineman Davion Weatherspoon, who officially signed with the Hogs on Saturday, according to CBS Sports insider Matt Zenitz.
A 3-star recruit in the 2021 recruiting cycle, Weatherspoon has spent the last 5 seasons with the Bobcats, redshirting his first season with the program before missing his entire second year with injury.
He really came on for the Bobcats over the past couple of seasons following that rocky start, locking down the left guard position where he has started every game for Ohio across 2024 and 2025.
Now he’ll be joining the Razorbacks as a graduate transfer for what will be his last season of college football, and he could end up being a day 1 starter for Silverfield, given his wealth of playing experience.
