By the time the 2021-22 men’s basketball season starts, hopefully we’ll be pretty much back to normal as a society.

Plans are being made for preseason tournaments to tip off the next season, and Auburn announced on Tuesday that it’ll play in a big-name tourney.

Per a press release, the Tigers will head to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis event, and will be joined by some big-name programs:

Auburn, which will make its first appearance at the tournament, is joined in the field by Arizona State, Baylor, Connecticut, Loyola-Chicago, Michigan State, Syracuse and Virginia Commonwealth.

All of those teams except Auburn and Arizona State made the NCAA Tournament this year. Baylor, Loyola-Chicago and Syracuse have advanced to the Sweet 16.

We’ll see how Bruce Pearl’s squad fares to start off the 2021-22 campaign. The tournament will be held from Nov. 24 to 26.
