Auburn had some good news to celebrate on the recruiting trail Tuesday.

Adam Balogoun-Ali is the newest member of the AU recruiting class. The blue-chip linebacker from Florida pledged to play for Hugh Freeze, choosing Auburn over a pair of other SEC programs.

Set to play for Cardinal Newman High School in 2025, Balogoun-Ali is listed as measuring 6-2 and 205 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Balogoun-Ali is rated 4-stars, the No. 20 linebacker, No. 46 player in the state of Florida and No. 298 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

Balogoun-Ali is one of the top linebackers in a heavily recruited state, so Auburn had plenty of competition to win his commitment. After picking up 35 scholarship offers, Balogoun-Ali narrowed it down to Auburn, Kentucky and Mizzou for Tuesday’s decision.

Auburn fans have been itching for some positive recruiting news. Freeze’s recent comments that Auburn has been hurt on the recruiting trail by following post-House settlement guidelines when it comes to NIL and compensation did not go over well with fans or media members. Lane Kiffin even got in on the fun, trolling his SEC rival in a social media post.

While one commitment doesn’t solve all of AU’s recruiting concerns, it’s not hard to see why the staff is excited to add Balogoun-Ali to the 2026 class. Fans can check out his Benjamin School junior-season highlights in the Hudl clip below.
