Blessing in disguise? Georgia fans react to Bulldogs receiving 3-seed in CFP

Georgia, despite dominating Alabama and winning the SEC, was tabbed as the 3-seed in the College Football Playoff behind Ohio State, which lost the Big Ten title game against Indiana.
You’d think the immediate reaction to that reality would be anger, but that really has not been the case. In fact, Georgia claiming the 3-seed could be viewed as a blessing in disguise for the Bulldogs. Here’s why.
The 2-seed will face off against the winner of the 7/10 game, which this year will pit Miami against Texas A&M. The 3-seed, however, will play the winner of the 6/11 game, which is Tulane vs. Ole Miss. The Rebels are a good team, no doubt, but it remains to be seen how they’ll fare without Lane Kiffin on the sidelines. Tulane, all respect to Tulane, is Tulane. Either of those matchups are favorable for Georgia compared to Texas A&M or Miami.
