Brent Venables and Oklahoma earned a 23-15 win against Mississippi State on Saturday night.
However, Venables was able to give even better news to his team after the game, as he provided a positive update on Sean Hutton after a recent health scare.
During a practice on Wednesday, Hutton was transferred to the hospital after suffering a rare medical event.
During his postgame conversation with the team, he told the team that Hutton had been released from the hospital, and the team even Facetimed with him in the locker room.

Hutton joined the team in 2025 as a walk-on, choosing the Sooners despite having PWO offers from Texas and Texas A&M. During the game against Mississippi State on Saturday evening, the Sooners wore a decal for him on their helmet.
The fact that he was on the phone celebrating the win with his teammates is something all of Sooner Nation will be happy about. Up next for Oklahoma is a Halloween game at home against a South Carolina team that is coming off a big win of its own over Tennessee.
