The Associated Press’ rankings for these two schools could have fooled anybody.
No. 17 Arkansas visited No. 21 Auburn this afternoon in what many believed to be a close game. Just one quarter into it, it wasn’t close.
Auburn led 21-0 after the opening 15 minutes and then was up 28-3 at half. The second half didn’t go much differently and the Tigers eventually defeated the Razorbacks, 56-3.
The ground game, which typically is a staple for Bret Bielema-led teams, didn’t go his way. Auburn out-rushed Arkansas, 543-25.
