Brian Kelly emphatically praises LSU’s offense line ahead of Clemson matchup

LSU head coach Brian Kelly is feeling good about his offensive line entering the 2025 season.
Kelly spoke about the O-line while meeting with reporters this week. It’s been the subject of plenty of questions this offseason, as the Tigers are being tasked with replacing a top-5 NFL Draft pick in Will Campbell along with a trio of other starters.
However, Kelly says he likes where the unit is with just a couple of weeks to go before the season starts.
“I’ve coached for a long time and had a lot of guys in the NFL, a lot of 1st round draft picks,” Kelly said. “I think I’ve got a pretty good eye for what an offensive line looks like. This group is going to be really good. We don’t have a Will Campbell, he was the [4th] pick in the draft. But we have 5 guys that play well together.”
Kelly specifically gave praise to center Braelin Moore, who arrived in Baton Rouge this offseason after starting for Virginia Tech in 2023 and 2024.
“Braelin Moore kind of sets up the rest of the group for success. His combination work is outstanding. His recognition of fronts. Getting us to be an elite offensive line, if you have a center who can set the stage for that, it allows everything else to kind of fall into place. And it’s starting to fall into place quite nicely.”

LSU’s offensive line will be tested right out of the gate. The Tigers are going on the road in Week 1 to face a Clemson team that has perhaps the best defensive line in the country — a group that’s headlined by potential All-Americans TJ Parker and Peter Woods.
