The highly anticipated season debut of Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is here.
Lead NFL reporter Ian Rapoport shared the news that Bowers is active Sunday afternoon, just under two hours ahead of kickoff between Las Vegas and New Orleans in The Big Easy.
Bowers notably participated in some preseason action but underwent surgery to trim his meniscus just 5 days before the regular season began. The team was confident the third-year target would be able to return in a timely manner, and he has done as such.
Fantasy football owners across the country likely rejoiced at the news, as Bowers has become a popular pick thanks to his immediate productivity since entering the league.
The former Georgia Bulldog star shined for the Raiders as a rookie in 2024, hauling in 112 passes for 1,194 yards and 5 touchdowns. While battling injuries for much of last season, Bowers still managed to eclipse his TD mark with 7 while catching 64 more passes for 680 yards in a dozen appearances.
A Las Vegas offense that has already shown promise amidst a 2-0 start will receive a sizable boost from one of the league’s top tight ends, and opposing defenses now have another headache to deal with when facing these Raiders.
