Bruce Feldman names SEC fanbase that should be ‘ticked off’ after initial CFP rankings release

Bruce Feldman gave his thoughts on the initial College Football Playoff Top 25 on “The Audible” on Tuesday night.
The big talking point of the evening has been Alabama‘s No. 5 ranking, which many felt was too high considering the Crimson Tide lost to Georgia and Tennessee in back-to-back weeks. Tennessee, meanwhile, was at No. 13.
So should the Volunteers have been put higher in the rankings?
“The people who I think have the biggest right to be ticked off are Volunteer fans, because they are way down,” Feldman said. “Alabama has not looked good in a little while. Yeah, they smashed Kentucky by whatever it was, 28 points, and they have Kentucky really high. But at the same time, it’s like, they have really sputtered and looked shaky in Tennessee.”
Feldman discussed the prospect of Hunter Yurachek, the CFP selection committee chair, having to explain on ESPN why the Crimson Tide were ranked where they were. While Yuracheck said that the Tide have more quality wins than the Volunteers, Feldman didn’t buy it.
“It’s live TV. I get it. He kind of sputters and you just kind of left wanting some rationale and you really don’t get it,” he said.
WIth four games left on the Alabama schedule, we’ll see if the Crimson Tide can win out and book a trip to the Playoff for a second straight season.
