The Auburn men’s basketball team turned in another disappointing performance this season.
But even when his team is struggling, it’s hard to stay mad at Bruce Pearl.
The guy lives and breathes his program, and is known for going out of the way to support other athletic programs on his campus.
After all, he once went shirtless and painted his chest to cheer in the student section of a women’s basketball game during his time as the Vols head coach.
So when he made an appearance on ESPN’s Mike & Mike on Monday morning to discuss the NCAA men’s tournament bracket on Monday morning, it should be no surprise that he was again supporting one of the athletic programs on his campus.
This time, it was the Auburn football team.
Here’s a shot of him “showing off the guns” in his Cam Newton jersey during the telecast:

It will be interesting to see if Pearl is able to successfully turn the Auburn basketball program around. But in the meantime, we’ll worry about Gus Malzahn getting things straightened out on the gridiron.
