Chase Bisontis, former Texas A&M OL, placed on season-ending IR

Former Texas A&M offensive lineman Chase Bisontis was placed on injured reserve by the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, ending his rookie season right as it was starting.
Bisontis suffered a torn MCL during the third quarter of Thursday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders as a Raiders defender fell on his extended leg. His other ligaments, including his ACL, are intact, per Mike Garafolo.
“He will be out for a good amount of time, if not the whole year,” Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said on Saturday. “Sucks for him. Always think about the player first. Sucks for the Cardinals, too. He’s a good player, but more importantly, you hate it for the player.”
Bisontis was taken in the second round of the 2026 draft, selected with the No. 34 pick after Arizona used their No. 4 selection on Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. The former Aggie was playing right guard for Arizona with the Cardinals’ second team.
Before landing with the Cardinals, Bisontis played 3 seasons at Texas A&M. He made the SEC’s first-team All-Freshman team and was a third-team All-SEC member his junior season before becoming the highest-drafted Aggies OL since Kenyon Green in 2022 and before that, Germain Ifedi in 2016.
