The College Football Playoff has released its final top 25 rankings of the season.

Indiana is No. 1 for the first time in program history. The Hoosiers, ranked No. 2 headed into conference championship weekend, locked down the top spot by virtue of a win over Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Buckeyes dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 as a result.

Georgia locked down the No. 3 spot with its win over Alabama in the SEC title game. The Crimson Tide, No. 9 coming in, stayed where they were with the loss.

Texas Tech and Oregon rounded out the top five. The Red Raiders, who beat BYU in the Big 12 Championship Game, are No. 4 ahead of their first-ever Playoff appearance. Oregon, idle during championship weekend, is No. 5.

Spots six through ten have a heavy SEC lean. Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Alabama are in spots six through nine, respectively. Miami is the lone ACC team in the top 10 at No. 10.

All told, the SEC led the way in teams in the top 25 with eight. The Big Ten landed six teams in the rankings, followed by the Big 12 with five and the ACC with three. The American and Sun Belt had one team each in the rankings.
