College GameDay announces celebrity guest picker for Week 1 show at LSU

Lainey Wilson will be back home in Louisiana on Saturday.
The country music superstar has been announced as the celebrity guest picker for Saturday’s College GameDay live from Baton Rouge ahead of No. 11 LSU vs. Clemson.
“What’s going on, Baton Rouge? I am coming home to Louisiana this weekend to be your College GameDay celebrity guest picker and I’m gonna sing a few songs,” Wilson said in a video message. “I can’t wait to be on LSU’s campus cheering on my Tigers. Come on out. The show starts at 8 a.m., so drink your coffee. Go Tigers!”

GameDay is entering its 40th season. Rece Davis returns as host, along with analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban and “Stanford Steve” Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada, Jess Sims and Pete Thamel.
As Wilson noted, it’s an 8 a.m. CT/9 a.m. ET start for College GameDay. The Week 1 show will cover the highly anticipated LSU debut for Lane Kiffin as the Bayou Bengals host the Clemson Tigers. Kiffin will make a live appearance on Saturday’s GameDay.
LSU vs. Clemson is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
