Deion Sanders and Bill Belichick, love them or hate them, will not be inside the new College Football 26 video game produced by EA Sports.

While the full release date for College Football 26 is July 10, fans could purchase early access to the game with the deluxe edition on Monday. That means fans far and wide are already engaging in all the sights and sounds of the popular game.

Unfortunately, the prominent head coaches at Colorado and North Carolina did not opt into the game, according to images shared by The Athletic’s Chris Vannini and others. According to Vannini, Belichick previously opted out of the popular Madden franchise of EA Sports.

In their places, the Buffs are led by “Kirk Patrick” and the Tar Heels by “Hector Luna.” Colorado’s stand-in for Coach Prime received an A+ rating as an elite recruiter, while Belichick’s stand-in earned a B+ as a scheme guru.

Here is a snapshot of the Colorado and UNC head coaches in the game:

At Colorado, Sanders enters his 3rd season with the Buffs after a 9-4 overall record during the 2024 season. Colorado faces the tough task of replacing Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and star quarterback Shedeur Sanders this fall.

At UNC, Belichick enters his first season as a college football head coach, following his longtime tenure in the NFL. He last coached a game during the 2023 season with the New England Patriots.
