Elite RB Asa Martin narrows his list down to three SEC schools

Judging by his offer list, Decatur, Ala., native Asa Martin has the opportunity to attend nearly every single elite college football program. Despite his long list of suitors, the two in-state SEC programs and Florida have apparently caught his eye heading into June.

The four-star running back narrowed his options down Thursday to those fortunate three and plans on eventually announce his commitment come Aug. 24 during a ceremony at his high school. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Martin is currently rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 11 running back and the No. 7 overall prospect from the state of Alabama according to 247Sports.

Martin took to Twitter to announce his three finalists, along with his planned commitment date:

The Alabama native rushed for over 1,300 yards last season and scored 14 touchdowns. His junior season highlight reel showcases his big play ability, not only out of the backfield but on special teams as a return man.
