College GameDay has announced the Week 8 celebrity guest picker for Saturday’s show in Eugene, Oregon.

Sabrina Ionescu, Oregon Ducks star basketball player was announced Thursday.

Ionescu was selected by the New York Liberty as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft. She was the first No. 1 overall pick in Oregon’s history of athletics. During the 2022 season, Ionescu was named to the All-WNBA second team. She’ll join the GameDay crew of Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Pat McAfee and David Pollack in Eugene, Oregon this Saturday.

The Ducks of Oregon, currently the No. 10 team in the AP Top 25, host Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins at Autzen Stadium. Oregon has won five straight games and Auburn transfer QB Bo Nix has bounced back from the Week 1 game against Georgia. Chip Kelly has the Bruins playing exceptionally well with quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson starting.

There is little doubt who the basketball superstar will pick and cheer for this weekend during GameDay.
