Florida playmaker Vernell Brown III exits Ole Miss game due to injury

Florida playmaker Vernell Brown III is a key contributor to the Gators’ offense. Any time he touches the ball, he is capable of producing a big play.
However, the Gators player was forced to leave the game against Ole Miss on Saturday night. He ultimately didn’t warm up at all during the half, and then was held out for the remainder of the game.
Entering Saturday, Brown led the team in catches, yards and was tied for first in receiving touchdowns with fellow receiver, Dallas Wilson.
While Brown headlines an extremely talented group of wide receivers, the Gators showed on Saturday night that the offense is going to be a run-first attack. Baugh once again showed why he is widely regarded as the best running back in the country, as he went over 100 yards. If that wasn’t enough, fellow running back Duke Clark was also able to go over the 100-yard mark.
With teams focusing so much on stopping the run, Brown and Wilson are going to get favorable matchups all year. If Brown is able to come back and play in the near future, then the Gators’ offense has a chance to be one of the most complete in all of college football.
