New South Carolina OC Mike Bobo has come under fire a bit this weekend after a report was released about his time at Colorado State. The Gamecocks issued a statement on the matter.
In the report from the Coloradoan, it was alleged that Bobo made racially insensitive remarks and verbally harassed players and assistants.
However, on Sunday, former Georgia coach Mark Richt came to Bobo’s defense, saying he never heard any complaints about Bobo during the 14 years they were at Georgia together:
Mike Bobo was on my UGA staff for the first 14 yrs that I was there. During those years I cannot remember receiving 1 complaint from a parent, HS coach or more importantly student athlete about how he was treated by Mike. The same goes for any staff member. Mike blessed UGA!

Bobo worked under Richt as the QB coach from 2001 to 2006 before adding offensive coordinator to his responsibilities from 2007 to 2014.
It remains to be seen what, if anything, South Carolina will do after this weekend’s report out of Colorado State.
