Former Georgia OT Broderick Jones traded new NFL team

Former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Broderick Jones has been a key part of the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last couple of seasons, but he will be headed to Dallas after the Cowboys sent a third- and sixth-round pick for him on Saturday.
During his time at Georgia, he was named First-team All- SEC in 2022, with the Bulldogs winning two national championships in 2021 and 2022. He was one of the anchors of an offensive line that helped produce superstar offensive players like Brock Bowers, James Cook, and Ladd McConkey.
After his junior season, he entered the 2023 NFL Draft and was drafted 14th overall by the Steelers. He played both left and right tackle and started 38 games in his three seasons for the Steelers.
The trade of Jones isn’t a complete surprise after Pittsburgh decided not to extend him during the 2026 offseason. Pittsburgh then drafted tackle Max Iheanachor in the first round, showing another potential sign that Jones wasn’t going to be in the Steelers’ future. He has battled injuries at times throughout his NFL career, but Dallas offers a great opportunity for Jones to be a part of one of the best offenses in the NFL.
