Oscar Delp spent the first 2 seasons of his Georgia career playing behind Brock Bowers. The last 2 years, he was not overly involved in the team’s passing attack. The NFL Combine was his chance to strut his stuff and make a move up draft boards. Now, it’s the place where his opportunity to do that was put on hold.

According to WSB2’s Zach Klein, Delp has been told he is not allowed to compete in NFL Combine drills due to “liability issues. “The ruling comes after a routine X-ray found a hairline fracture in his foot, something that Delp reportedly played through his entire senior season.

Delp’s desire to participate is admirable. The attitude and football passion he’s showing by fighting to be involved will surely earn him points on every NFL general manager’s scouting board. For now, though, he’s going to have to let his tape do the talking.

The 2026 NFL Draft is befitting of its host city (Pittsburgh). It isn’t flush with star talent at the offensive skill positions, but it is loaded on the defensive side. Right now, Kalshi gives 3 defensive players an 80% chance or better to be selected in the top 10. The 2026 NFL Draft begins on Apr. 23.
