Former LSU DB Eric Monroe announces Big 12 transfer destination

Former LSU DB Eric Monroe was a highly coveted recruit coming out of Houston as part of the 2016 recruiting class.
Recently, he announced he was going to transfer somewhere else to play his redshirt senior season, and now it appears he’s made his choice.
As you can see below, Monroe took to Twitter to announce that he was going to transfer to Texas Tech to play the 2020 season:

In 4 years at LSU, Monroe recorded 22 total tackles, including 1 for a loss, and 2 pass breakups.
Monroe was the No. 55 player nationally in the 2016 recruiting class and the No. 3 overall safety. He was a 4-star prospect, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
