Former Mizzou RB Elijah Young announces transfer commitment

Former Mizzou RB Elijah Young has a new team. Young is heading to Western Kentucky to continue his college football career.
Young announced his transfer commitment on social media.

Young leaves Mizzou after 3 seasons. He made 28 appearances, logging 66 carries for 333 yards and a touchdown along with 19 catches for 103 yards and a TD. Young has not used a redshirt in his career so far. With the NCAA not counting 2020 against eligibility, Young can play 2 more full seasons.
Over 3 seasons, Young’s most productive year was 2021 when he had 37 carries for 162 yards and a touchdown along with 11 catches for 64 yards and a TD. This past season, Young played in 9 games, recording 19 carries for 93 yards and 8 catches for 39 yards.
Young’s last carries with Mizzou came when the Tigers played in Knoxville, Tennessee, his hometown, on Nov. 12. Young had 3 carries for 21 yards and 2 catches for 10 yards against the Tennessee Volunteers in Neyland Stadium.
