Georgia announces captains before rivalry game against Auburn

Georgia is taking on Auburn on Saturday night in the latest edition of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.
Georgia has announced its captains for this high-intensity clash. Drew Dobo, Colbie Young, CJ Allen and Christen Miller will be the leaders against the Tigers.
Young enters the game leading the Bulldogs with 247 yards, while Allen is the leading tackler on the team with 36 tackles and is second with 2 sacks.
Leadership has been one of the biggest strengths for the Bulldogs over the past few years, and that got tested last week after suffering the loss to Alabama in the previous week. Georgia came out early against Kentucky in Week 6, and was in control from the very beginning in the 35-14 win.
The Tigers enter this game with two consecutive tough road losses to Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Both of those games were one possession games, and a win over the Bulldogs would be a huge step for Hugh Freeze.
The Bulldogs have dominated this series recently, as they have won the last eight matchups since 2017. Last year, Georgia won the game 31-13.
