Georgia suffered a significant loss on the recruiting trail on Wednesday morning.

The Bulldogs lost a commitment from 4-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse less than 2 months since his original pledge. Outhouse committed to UGA back on March 6 but has evidently decided to reconsider his options as he prepares for his senior season of high school football.

The news was shared by Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday afternoon, noting that Outhouse has earned 43 offers so far during his recruitment.

This is a big loss for Georgia‘s 2027 recruiting class. Outhouse is a top-100 prospect, ranking as the No. 99 overall player and the No. 14 cornerback in the nation for the 2027 cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 13 player from the state of Texas.

Florida and Texas Tech are 2 potential suitors for Outhouse as he re-opens his recruitment. Per 247Sports, the Gators offered Outhouse a scholarship back in January.

Even with his departure from Georgia’s class, UGA still has the makings of an elite high school recruiting class. The Bulldogs have 7 commits so far, including 2 from 5-star prospects. Running back Kemon Spell and cornerback Donte Wright are both considered top 10 recruits nationally in the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Outhouse and the rest of the class of 2027 will be able to officially sign with their program of choice during the Early Signing Period in December.
