Giants make decision on Malik Nabers’ status for Sunday Night Football

The New York Giants have been coy about the status of Malik Nabers playing on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. The team finally made the announcement just before kickoff, and the star receiver is officially active for Week 1 against Dallas.
Nabers has been recovering from a knee injury he suffered last season.
Nabers missed the majority of the season last year, as he tore his ACL in the fourth game of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers. The injury was especially disappointing as Nabers had showed in his rookie season that he was becoming one of the best receivers in the NFL.
He finished his rookie campaign with 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns, despite a lot of moving parts at quarterback.

One key thing for the Giants will be Nabers continuing to build that relationship with quarterback Jaxson Dart. The two didn’t play much last year, as the game in which Nabers got injured was the first career start for Dart. The duo is a big reason why there is a lot of optimism, and why John Harbaugh took over the job.
Kickoff between the Giants and Cowboys will be on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET, with the game on NBC.
