No. 23 Missouri hosts South Carolina in Week 4 for the Mayor’s Cup. ESPN’s Greg McElroy has revealed his pick for the SEC rivalry showdown.

McElroy doesn’t expect South Carolina to pull off an upset, especially because of Missouri’s defensive line.

“I’ll take Missouri. I don’t know right now what to expect from LaNorris Sellers. Even if he plays, I still think Missouri is more complete,” McElroy said on Thursday’s Always College Football. “I think Missouri is more disruptive along the defensive line and I think they can apply pressure against an offensive line that has struggled up to this point of the season.”

Missouri is coming off a 52-10 victory vs. visiting Louisiana. The Tigers have won all 3 games this season by double digits.

After winning the first 2 games of the season, South Carolina fell 31-7 vs. visiting Vanderbilt in Week 3. South Carolina has been uneven offensively, tied for 100th in points per game.

Missouri leads the all-time series 8-6 vs. South Carolina. However, South Carolina won last season’s matchup 34-30 at home. The Mayor’s Cup is named after both programs playing in Columbia in their respective states.

South Carolina at Missouri is set for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday (ESPN).
