Jaden Rashada’s long, winding journey through the college ranks is about to take yet another turn.

Rashada, the former four-star recruit in the class of 2023, spent the 2025 season at FCS Sacramento State. He won the starting job there but was limited for much of the season due to a thumb injury.

Now, Rashada is headed back into the transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Rashada, of course, initially committed to Miami out of high school. He ultimately backed off his pledge and later signed with Florida, but ended up being released from his NLI. He ultimately sued Florida after accusing the university of defrauding him out of an NLI deal worth just under $14 million, stating that he chose the Gators over a $9.5 million NIL deal at Miami.

He then landed at Arizona State, where he played in three games in 2023. After that came a spell at Georgia in 2024 during which he didn’t see the field.

After re-entering the portal, Rashada landed at Sacramento State. In six games with the Hornets, he completed 17 of his 42 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception.

Rashada still has two years of eligibility remaining after redshirting the 2023 season with Arizona State.
