Former Mississippi State and current Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is set to return from injury at some point in the near future.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones thinks it could be even earlier than expected.
โI donโt know that anybody knows (when heโll be back),โ Jones said, via ProFootballTalk. โBut when he (gets enough strength in his hand), then youโll probably see some real advancement in his timeline. I donโt know when that is. I do know that with a good airing out last week, everybody recognizes that he’ll be back sooner rather than later as far as the timeline. It really could be a minimum of two weeks up here in my mind (Washington in Week 4). Now, thatโs very optimistic. But heโs got the kind of repair there that will allow him not to have a lot of fear of re-injuring it. Itโs just a question of the grip. But itโs a big question.โ
Prescott is out because of a hand injury in Dallas’ Week 1 game against Tampa Bay. The Cowboys signed Cooper Rush in lieu of his injury.
Safe to say they need him back in a Cowboys uniform.
