Texas A&M and Alabama face off in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night.

And there will be plenty of discussion leading up to the game about the quarterback position, as both teams are dealing with uncertain situations due to injury.

Jimbo Fisher revealed Monday during his weekly media availability that Aggies starter Max Johnson is day-to-day with a hand issue.

Of course, Crimson Tide star QB Bryce Young’s status is also unknown.

The reigning Hesiman Trophy winner was forced to leave last Saturday’s game at Arkansas with a shoulder injury.

Replacing Young for Alabama against the Razorbacks was freshman Jalen Milroe, a Texas native and former A&M recruiting target.

Fisher was asked Monday for a scouting report on the Alabama backup quarterback.

“Very athletic, is strong, has a strong arm,” said Fisher of Milroe. “Can throw the heck out of it. Came to our camp. Great body. Great competitor. Did a heck of a job in camp. He was a guy we were recruiting at the time.

“Outstanding athlete, athletic, strong. Throw it a mile, hit what he throws at. Very accurate that way and then tremendous athlete. We were recruiting him; we were definitely recruiting him.”
