Kate Perry has shown throughout the years that she is a big college football fan, even making an appearance on College GameDay in 2014 for the Ole Miss and Alabama game. She picked the Rebels to pull off the upset in that game, and then stormed the field with all of the fans when they did knock off the Crimson Tide. On Saturday night, like millions across the country, she was locked into the game between Ole Miss and LSU.
After the big win for the Rebels, Perry let it be known on social media who she was cheering for.
Though Perry is from California, she has some ties to Ole Miss. Her longtime manager, Bradford Cobb graduated from Ole Miss in 1996. Glen Ballard, a music producer and a songwriter who has influenced Perry graduated from Ole Miss in 1975.
Social media was on fire last night after the Rebels and Tigers delivered one of the more exciting games in quite some time. While the ratings aren’t out yet for the game, it figures to be one of the most watched college football games in quite some time.
Perry will surely be cheering on the Rebels as they travel to Florida to take on the Gators in Week 4.
