The Florida Gators at least came ready to play on Saturday, as they went 7 plays and 66 yards in 3:41 to take a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter. However, Georgia responded like you would expect a 2-time national championship to: In dominating fashion.

After the game, Smart told reporters about how his team responded in a big way.

“We gave it up against Vanderbilt and I think South Carolina,” Smart said. “There is not a lot of panic in that group. We certainly needs to rectify starting the game better. The comfortable part is nobody panics. We had some mistakes, some anxiety, we haven’t played in 2 weeks. Give them credit, they threw the ball to a really good playmaker.”

After being down 7-0, the Bulldogs scored the next 36 points of the game, and didn’t let Florida get back into the endzone until the 4th quarter. This is the 3rd consecutive game the Bulldogs have beaten the Gators by at least 20 points.

Georgia will be back in action next Saturday as it hosts the Missouri Tigers in a game that could determine the SEC East. These teams played a great game in Columbia last season, as the Bulldogs came back from a 22-12 deficit in the final 9:40 to get the 26-22 win.
