LSU head coach Lane Kiffin was gifted 2 bottles of holy water by a member of LSU‘s media on Monday afternoon. The gifts came with instructions.
“Miss Terry showed you that holy water works miracles in Tiger Stadium, so you have one holy water bottle for Tiger Stadium… and that first one will get used in Game 3 against your former school.”
Kiffin accepted the gift. “I appreciate it, and that is accurate, I was right there when she did it,” he said.

Kiffin first recalled the story of Miss Terry sprinkling holy water while speaking to the SEC Network crew at SEC Media Days in July. The story comes from Kiffin’s time at Alabama under HC Nick Saban when the Tide travelled to face LSU in Baton Rouge.
โIโm walking on the sidelines for the LSU game, they still dislike (Saban) at the time, theyโre yelling stuff at him, sheโs got this stuff and sheโs putting it on the ground, and Iโm like โwhat are you doing?โ” Kiffin recalled. “and sheโs like โthereโs real voodoo here, they donโt like Nick here, so Iโve got to spread this stuff out to make sure heโs okay.’โ
The Tigers welcome Clemson to Baton Rouge on Sept. 5 to open the 2026 season. We’ll see if Kiffin utilizes his new gift in Week 3 and again in Week 3 when Kiffin travels back to Oxford to face Ole Miss.
