Through four games of the 2026 college football season, LaNorris Sellers looked like the player fans saw in 2025. The South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback has always possessed superstar capabilities, but hadn’t shown them in quite some time. Then, once October arrived, something flipped.

In Week 9, Sellers threw for 301 yards, ran for 96 yards and had five total touchdowns. His efforts in South Carolina’s 42-25 win at Oklahoma earned him multiple national honors, including the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week, AP National Player of the Week and Maxwell Football Club National Player of the Week.

Over his past four contests, Sellers has completed 63.0% of his passes (80/127) for 1,016 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has added 359 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground in that time. His return to superstar form has saved the Gamecocks’ season and put him firmly back on the higher end of the NFL Draft radar.

South Carolina (5-3, 3-3 SEC) rounds out its season with games against Texas A&M, Arkansas, Georgia and Clemson. Winning out is very feasible. A victory over the Bulldogs, with wins in the other contests, could give the Gamecocks an outside shot at a College Football Playoff bid. This weekend’s matchup vs. the Aggies starts at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday (ESPN).
