LSU announces sellout for Saturday’s game against South Carolina

No.11 LSU is coming off a bye week and will look to bounce back in primetime against visiting South Carolina on Saturday. Death Valley will definitely be raucous. LSU announced on Monday that the game will be a sellout at Tiger Stadium.
LSU is coming off a 24-19 loss at Ole Miss. It was the first loss of the season for LSU, who started with 4 victories in a row. The Tigers allowed Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss to pass for 314 with a touchdown along with 71 yards on the ground. LSU’s defense allowed Ole Miss to convert 8 of its 16 third-down attempts.
The Tigers are 3-0 at home this season, defeating Louisiana Tech 23-7, Florida 20-10, and SE Louisiana 56-10. LSU hasn’t lost in Death Valley since falling 42-13 against Alabama on Nov. 9, 2024.
South Carolina enters with a 3-2 mark out of its bye week. Most recently, the Gamecocks defeated visiting Kentucky 35-13 on Sept.27. South Carolina running back Rahsul Faison finished with 2 rushing touchdowns.
LSU leads the all-time series 18-2-1 against South Carolina. The Tigers are on a 2-game winning streak against The Gamecocks after a 36-33 road victory last season. South Carolina at LSU is set for 7:45 p.m. ET (SEC Network).
