Media reacts to news of Gus Malzahn’s firing from Auburn

Huge news came out of Auburn on Sunday — Gus Malzahn is out as the Tigers’ head coach.

Malzahn went 68-35 over eight seasons at Auburn, which included leading the Tigers to a 12-2 record and an appearance in the BCS National Championship Game in his first year in 2013. However, things didn’t go quite as well for Auburn this season, with it finishing the regular season at 6-4.

The Tigers ended with a 24-10 win at Mississippi State on Saturday, but it appears that wasn’t enough to save Malzahn’s job.
