Ever since the news broke last weekend that the Penn State Nittany Lions were moving on from longtime head coach James Franklin, speculation has been running rampant over who the next person to fill the top position up in Happy Valley will end up being.

Just about every name in the sport has been thrown around as a potential replacement for the now-departed Franklin, and that includes former Alabama head coach and current ESPN College GameDay analyst Nick Saban.

Saban’s fellow analyst on GameDay, Pat McAfee, asked Saban’s wife Miss Terry, who was also in attendance for the broadcast this week, what would happen if Penn State were to hypothetically offer her now-retired husband $50 million a year to become the new head man up at Penn State, and she poked fun at 2 of Saban’s former assistants in her response.

“Look, Pat, I have no doubt that if Nick wanted to go back to coaching, he could win his eighth national championship,” Miss Terry said. “But we’re having too much fun, and we wouldn’t want to take that opportunity away from all of our baby coaches like Kirby (Smart) and Lane (Kiffin). We’re having too much fun, and I haven’t heard a number yet, Pat.”

Don’t hold your breath on the Sabans moving to State College.
