Former LSU star Patrick Peterson has backed away from recent trade demands after a reported meeting with ownership.
The All-Pro cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals has lobbied so much for a trade, he’s even told the Cardinals he would like to be traded to the New Orleans Saints. In a statement posted on Wednesday, Peterson admitted to frustrations, but said he would be 100 percent focused on the solution and helping the turnaround.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Peterson’s change of heart came after a 30-minute meeting with President Michael Bidwill where they discussed leadership, and assurances about winning.
Arizona is 1-6 after a 45-10 loss to Denver last week.
