Paul Finebaum knows all about creating meme-worthy content, so it should come as no surprise that the ESPN college football pundit had something to say about LSU coach Brian Kelly’s post-game press conference outburst after the Tigers’ 20-10 victory over Florida.

“I am ‘Paul In’ on this one, because that guy asking the question – that was me 40 years ago. And I would still have another follow-up,” Finebaum joked. “Give Brian Kelly credit. He came after [Clemson coach] Dabo [Swinney] a couple weeks ago, and now he’s trying to become a new Herm Edwards meme. You have to give Brian Kelly credit for being ingenious, because that was such a great answer. That’s all people are going to be talking about.

“Don’t forget his team wasn’t bad defensively (against Florida). Offensively? I’m sorry, I don’t want Brian Kelly coming after me.”

Third-ranked LSU hosts Southeastern Louisiana next Saturday night before returning to SEC play against No. 17 Ole Miss in Oxford on Sept. 27. We’ll see how things go in the press conferences following the next few games.
