Pete Golding jokes about Ole Miss AD, president celebrating win over Lane Kiffin, LSU

Ever the jokester, Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding had plenty of one-liners ready after his Rebels beat LSU, 32-24, on Saturday night.
With the victory over his former boss and past Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin out of the way, it was apparent that everybody around both programs was relieved to have the weight of that game removed from their shoulders.
Specifically, Golding called attention to Rebels’ Athletic Director, Keith Carter, as well as the University’s Chancellor, Glenn Boyce, who are likely glad that the weekend has concluded with no major catastrophes.
And as Golding said during his on-field interview following the win, Carter and Boyce should take some time to celebrate the result.
“I think Glenn Boyce and Keith Carter might have a beer tonight,” Golding said with a smile.

Golding likely joined them, as Ole Miss advanced to 3-0 on the season and directly inserted itself into every SEC and national-title conversation.
Of course, the emotions of taking down Kiffin–at least for the moment–appeared to be what everybody valued more.
However, Golding and company can’t rest for too long, because a marquee matchup with a surging Florida squad now looms next Saturday in Gainesville. That game will kick off at 3:30 ET, with it occupying ABC’s afternoon slot.
