Pro Football Focus has unveiled which 10 teams have the easiest schedule in FBS according to the site’s projections.

Jake Dickert will be entering his first season at Wake Forest after the retirement of Dave Clawson, and according to PFF, the Demon Deacons have the country’s easiest schedule. The Deacs face Kennesaw State and Oregon State in non-conference play, along with a pair of FCS teams in Western Carolina and Delaware. They’ll also take on NC State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, SMU, Florida State, Virginia, North Carolina, and Duke in conference play.

Behind the Demon Deacons is Texas Tech, an 8-5 team in 2024. The Red Raiders’ first 3 conference opponents — Utah, Houston, and Kansas — all finished in the bottom half of the Big 12 standings a year ago, with their second-to-last opponent, UCF, finishing second-from-last.

Also on the list is Indiana at No. 3. The Hoosiers have drawn criticism for their non-conference slate, which includes Old Dominion, Kennesaw State, and FCS Indiana State in 2025. They also notably wiped out a home-and-home with Virginia scheduled for 2027 and 2028 in favor of another home date against Kennesaw State in 2027 and games against FCS Austin Peay and Eastern Illinois in 2028 and 2029, respectively.

Notably, there are no SEC teams on the list. Each of the other 3 power conferences is represented.

Here is the full list of PFF’s 10 easiest schedules for 2025:

  1. Wake Forest
  2. Texas Tech
  3. Indiana
  4. Virginia
  5. BYU
  6. SMU
  7. Kansas
  8. North Carolina
  9. Houston
  10. Oklahoma State
