We’ve never seen a star rapper turned college football player. Until now?

According to MLFootball on X, the popular rapper will unofficially visit Maryland football on August 30, when the Terrapins face off against Florida Atlantic to kick off their season. Toosii (Nau’Jour Grainger) has been training this summer at NC State and has legitimate plans to play college football.

The 25-year-old reportedly put his music career on pause to pursue this endeavor.

For those who may not be familiar, Toosii has seen serious success in the music industry. A multi-platinum recording artist, Toosii is perhaps best known for his 2023 hit ‘Favorite Song.’

Here’s more from Toosii’s x profile:

Now, it’s not like Grainger has never played football. He starred at Rolesville High School in Raleigh before his music career took off. Still, he has a long journey ahead to prepare for playing football at this level – especially with a visit to a Big Ten school on the horizon.

The Terrapins, as stated earlier, face off against Florida Atlantic to kick off the 2025 season under head coach Mike Locksley. Maryland finished last season with a 4-8 record and just 1 win in conference play.
