Report: Former Florida State assistant suing school for unpaid wages

The Florida State Seminoles are being taken to court by a former assistant coach, according to news that broke over the weekend.
Per Tallahassee.com, Mike Warren, who has served as a quality control coach the past three years, filed a lawsuit against his former employer on Friday.
According to the report, the lawsuit is for unpaid salary from this year’s Independence Bowl and various overtime hours over the years:
Mike Warren, a former Florida State quality control coach under Jimbo Fisher, is suing the university for unpaid wages from the 2017 Independence Bowl and overtime hours accumulated during the past three years of his employment.
Stan Wilcox, who is FSU’s vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics, released a statement to the Tallahassee Democrat about Warren’s claim:
“We are aware of his claim,” Wilcox said. “We do not comment on personnel matters.”
It’s unclear how much Warren is seeking, but it could be a while before this issue plays itself out in court.
