Sam Leavitt misses between-the-legs dunk after rushing TD

Sam Leavitt is having a massive day against Auburn.
The LSU quarterback was 21-of-27 for 261 yards in the first half and accounted for four touchdowns — three passing, one rushing. Most importantly, he hasn’t turned the ball over. He’s a big reason why his team is up 31-10 over Auburn and well on its way to a second straight win.
Almost everything has gone right for Leavitt on Saturday. Dunking on the basketball goal on the LSU sideline, though? That’s another story. Watch as Leavitt tries to go behind the legs after his rushing touchdown late in the second quarter, but…doesn’t quite stick the landing.
Perhaps Leavitt was a little out of practice. He played basketball in high school, but football ultimately won out and has him where he is today. As long as Lane Kiffin isn’t counting in him to jack up threes at some point, he should be fine.
In any event, LSU looks firmly in control and is on track to improve to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the SEC. Kiffin’s team still has work to do to reach the top of the conference rankings and has little margin for error if it wants to get to the College Football Playoff.
After Saturday, though, LSU faces three straight Top 25 opponents, so there’s definitely a path to the 12-team field.
