Texas A&M is hiring Alabama wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins to Mike Elko’s staff, according to Aggie insider Billy Liucci.
Wiggins completed his fifth season coaching Crimson Tide wide receivers on Nick Saban’s staff. In his first 4 seasons, Wiggins worked with a Heisman Trophy and Biletnikoff Award winner, 2 Biletnikoff finalists and 3 first-team All-Americans. Wiggins’ coaching resume includes 5 first-round NFL Draft picks: Jaylen Waddle (No. 6 overall), DeVonta Smith (No. 10), Henry Ruggs III (No. 12), Jameson Williams (No. 12) and Jerry Jeudy (No. 15).
Wiggins also delivers big results on the recruiting trail. He is ranked the No. 2 recruiter in the nation by 247Sports for the 2024 recruiting class, behind only Fran Brown, the former Georgia assistant who landed the Syracuse head coaching job. Wiggins landed 9 pledges, all 4- or 5-star prospects, for Alabama’s 2024 class.
Wiggins, 43, has been in coaching since 2003, getting his start at New Mexico, his alma mater. His other stops include Tulsa, Memphis and Virginia Tech.
