One of the highest-rated tight ends in the Class of 2027, Brock Williams, revealed on Tuesday that he will commit to one of Texas, Ohio State or Georgia on May 15, which is just under 2 weeks from now.
Texas is reportedly a major player for the 6-foot-5 tight end, too. Williams, who hails from Libertyville, Illinois, was first offered by the Longhorns in March of last year.
Texas would be a good fit for Williams and hopes to add a 3rd top 100 recruit with his decision in a few weeks. The Longhorns currently hold one commitment from a tight end in the Class of 2027, 3-star prospect JT Geraci out of Ramsey, New Jersey.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Williams is considered to be the No. 79 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 4 tight end and No. 5 player out of Illinois.
Of course, Georgia is also a finalist for the 4-star talent, but the Bulldogs are already rich on tight end talent in the Class of 2027. Kirby Smart and Co. have already landed a commitment from 5-star TE Jaxon Dollar, who is ranked as the No. 2 overall TE prospect in the cycle.
