What Mark Stoops said following Kentucky’s upset win over rival Louisville

Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats downed No. 10 Louisville in Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon, 38-31. The Wildcats finish the regular season 7-5 after a giant win over the Cardinals.
Following the game Stoops addressed media to discuss the Wildcats’ best-played game of the season.
Stoops told reporters that he knew his team would be ready for the Cardinals, who are currently the No. 2 team in the ACC and set to face Florida State in the ACC Championship game.
So, what does this win for the Wildcats say about the strength of the ACC?
Mark Stoops was confident his team would be ready to play against Louisville in front of a capacity crowd.

Stoops also saw a huge game from star RB Ray Davis, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals while catching 4 balls for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Stoops asked the O-line to “put it on them” late in the game and the Big Blue Wall delivered the running lanes for Ray Davis and Co.

Stoops on not committing any penalties: “I told them how emotional this game was going to be. … But ultimately, this comes down to execution.” Said not getting a single flag showed team has continued learning all season.
