Just when it seems like Lane Kiffin has run out of ideas, he comes up with something new.
Literally.
The well-documented LSU head coach has been known to employ some unique tactics when it comes to getting in the head of his opposition and hyping up his players, but he’s gone to a new level ahead of the Bayou Bengals’ clash with Kentucky on Saturday.
According to earlier reports, LSU has displayed a large quote by Wildcats starting quarterback Kenny Minchey within its football facilities, with it reading:
LSU’s defense hasn’t seen anyone like us and our offensive line yet.
The issue is that the quip from Minchey has been found to be entirely fabricated, and thus fans are left confused and yet again frustrated with Kiffin.

Asked about the tactic on Kentucky Sports Networks’ weekly show, first-year Wildcats head coach Will Stein chose to take the high ground and focus on what he and his players can control.
“You don’t worry about the outside noise and don’t give anybody any locker room material. And you make it about us,” Stein said. “It’s not about anything else besides our program, our players, our coaches…
…He [Minchey] clearly did not say that about the team we’re about to play,” Stein added. “Coach [Kiffin] has been doing crazy stuff for a long time. And in terms of getting their team ready to roll, my guys are ready to roll because of the brotherhood we have and the opportunity to play in front of our best fans.”
The Wildcats and Tigers will kick off at 7 p.m. ET, with the game being broadcast by ESPN.
