Brady Cook had a strong performance in preseason action for the New York Jets on Saturday night against the New York Giants, highlighted by his first NFL touchdown pass.
Mizzou fans are sure to forgive Cook for throwing his first professional TD to former Kansas wide receiver Quentin Skinner.
Cook’s second drive, MUCH better than the first

6/7 passing (by my count) on a 12 play, 89 yard touchdown drive capped by Cook’s 1st NFL TD pass w/ an amazing catch in the end zone https://t.co/iWxLytfhUB pic.twitter.com/qBA9JMGCzD
Cook and Skinner had an impressive connection going. As undrafted free agents, they’re both fighting for a roster spot right now. If both make the roster, the locker room will feel a bit divided come Sept. 6 when the Border War renews.
Love this throw from @nyjets QB Brady Cook. Gets it to Skinner who is surrounded by 3 defenders. pic.twitter.com/cMflwRvMzm

Cook finished 6-of-11 for 74 yards in the game. Adrian Martinez, who also played behind starter Justin Fields, was 12-of-21 for 114 yards with an interception.
Tiger fans are anxious to see what Cook will make of his next preseason opportunity against Philadelphia.
